TikTok Ads Policy

Retro Smile advertises on TikTok. This page explains what data may be collected when you interact with our TikTok ads or visit the site from TikTok, and how you can opt out.

1. Advertising disclosure

Retro Smile runs paid ads on TikTok. If you tapped one of our ads on TikTok, limited information about that tap (such as which ad and campaign) may be shared with us, and we may share back limited event data (like "this visitor viewed a page" or "this visitor booked an appointment") so TikTok can report on ad performance and help us reach similar audiences.

2. Data collection & tracking

Where enabled, our site may use:

  • TikTok Pixel — a snippet that fires small events (page view, button click, booking completed) and forwards them to TikTok for ad measurement.
  • TikTok Events API — a server-side companion that sends the same events from our server for improved accuracy when browsers block third-party scripts.

These technologies may collect: your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you view on our site, buttons you interact with, and — if you submit a form — hashed versions of contact details (email, phone) used solely to match your action to your TikTok account for ad measurement. We do not send raw personal information to TikTok for advertising purposes without your input.

We use this data to:

  • measure which TikTok ads actually drive bookings,
  • build custom audiences of past visitors so we can invite them back,
  • create lookalike audiences of people similar to our clients.

3. Opt-out & user control

You control how TikTok uses your data:

  • TikTok Ad Settings — in the TikTok app, go to Settings and privacy → Ads to turn off personalized ads and manage the activity advertisers have shared.
  • Browser controls — block or clear third-party cookies, or use private/incognito mode.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC) — we honor GPC signals sent by your browser as an opt-out of sale/share where applicable.

4. Results & claims disclaimer

Our TikTok ads may include before-and-after photos and video reactions from real Retro Smile clients. These are genuine results for those individuals and are not a guarantee of your outcome. Whitening results vary based on starting shade, enamel condition, lifestyle, and aftercare.
